भोपाल। अभी अभी यह जानकारी सामने आई है कि मध्यप्रदेश राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग (Madhya Pradesh Election Commision) ने कोरोनावायरस संक्रमण (Corona Virus) के चलते नगर निगम, नगर पालिका, एवं नगर परिषद के चुनाव स्थगित कर दिए हैं। जानकारी के अनुसार नगरीय निकाय चुनाव स्थगित करने का आदेश गृह एवं जेल विभाग मंत्रालय की मांग पर जारी किया गया है।
मध्यप्रदेश राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग (Madhya Pradesh Election Commision) ने अपर मुख्य सचिव गृह एवं जेल विभाग को लिखे पत्र में कहा कि आपके पत्र क्रमांक 245 को ध्यान में रखते हुए मध्यप्रदेश में नगरीय निकाय चुनाव एवं त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव जो दिसंबर 2020 से जनवरी 2021 तक आयोजित किया जाना था को नगर परिषद नरवर, जिला शिवपुरी छोड़कर 20 फरवरी 2021 के पश्चात आयोजित किए जाने का आदेश जारी कर दिया गया है।
मध्य प्रदेश त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव स्थगित
इसी प्रकार त्रि-स्तरीय पंचायतों के प्रस्तावित आम निर्वाचन जो माह दिसम्बर 2020-फरवरी 2021 तक आयोजित किया जाना था इन्हे माह फरवरी 2021 तक स्थगित किये जाने का आदेश क्रमांक एफ-70/पी.एन-10/2020/तीन/696 दिनांक-26/12/2020 को जारी किया गया है।

It is noteworthy that out of the total 407 urban bodies of the state, the tenure of 307 expired on 25.09.2020, with the tenure of 08 urban bodies being completed in January and February-2021. The tenure of Panch, Sarpanch, Janpad members and Zila Panchayat members in the three-tier Panchayats has ended in March-2020. Along with these bodies, the elections of 29 newly formed municipal councils are also to be held.
